Hailing from London, Luba Salpetrier is a writer who has used her maternal heritage as inspiration for her debut children’s book.
She has always loved literature and travel and has finally taken the
plunge in combining the two.
“Reading allows you to explore realities greater than your
own, without moving an inch”- something that Luba recognised from an early age.
Her career as a Primary School Teacher has enabled her to contribute to shaping
the lives of youngsters, opening their eyes to the wider world. She understands how access to quality texts can significantly boost children's understanding of literacy.
Her hope is that A For Africa: S For Salone will contribute to the diverse range of children’s literature that is currently emerging from the UK.
By combining her own passion and exploration of this continent, through the letters of the alphabet (making it accessible for children of all ages) Luba hopes to write more books, which delve into the rich history of this special continent that is so very dear to her.
